Professionals who work within the North-american design industry have in New York a very assertive reference for research: Material Connexion, a true “library” that gathers a permanent collection of materials for fashion, architecture and art creations. Soon, a series of leather produced in Brazil will also be part of this exhibition thanks to support from Brazilian Leather, project dedicated to the promotion of leather exports and coordinated by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The Brazilian Association of Companies of Components for Leather, Footwear and Manufactured Goods (Assintecal) also supports the initiative.

Brazilian hides will be available at the New York library’s Spotlight panel, where thousands of influent designers and professionals look for research every year. The collection of hides will also be taken to seven segmented and itinerant exhibitions around the US, besides taking part of Material Connexion’s online catalog.
