Fimec (the International Leather, Chemicals, Components, Machinery and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries Fair) is one of the world's major events in the leather sector and takes place in Novo Hamburgo (RS, Brazil). The upcoming edition will be March 10th-12th, with the partnership of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB). The CICB has organized an intense agenda for the fair with a focus on promoting business and contacts, with additional support from the Brazilian Leather project - an initiative carried out by the CICB and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to encourage to Brazil's leather exports.

CICB and AICSul Stand
Teams from the CICB and the AICSul will be present throughout Fimec and available for information about Brazilian leathers and dissemination of printed materials at stand 2086 - Corridor C – Pavillion 2.
The CICB space at Studio Fimec
This is an all-new project at Fimec. The CICB will have an exclusive lounge together with Studio Fimec, bringing valuable information about industry trends in Brazil and around the world. The Studio Fimec project is by Coelho Assessoria Empresarial and Studio 10 / Freevale University Design Center are responsible for the content.
A group of leather importers from Russia will be present at Fimec at the invitation of Apex-Brasil (Eurasian office – Moscow) and Brazilian Leather. The group will make technical visits to tanneries and other industries in the region. The importers are emissaries of major Russian footwear industries.
17th Fimec Release Awards
Cases from national companies exhibiting at the 44th Fimec can be entered to win the award. Hotsite registration: premiofimec.lancamentos.com.br. There are several categories, including Leathers (Design and Technology), Innovation, and Sustainability. The award ceremony takes place March 10th at 8 pm at the Fenac Events Center in Novo Hamburgo / RS.
Advisory board meeting
The CICB will promote their Regular Meeting of the Advisory Board, with the Ordinary General Meeting on March 10th.
The Fimec Forum
On the morning of March 11th, Fimec will be a place of pure learning and knowledge during the Fimec Forum. Excellent national and international speakers have been confirmed for this activity. Visits to the Model Tannery in Estância Velha
The CICB is a supporter of technical visits on the mornings of March 10th and 12th to the Senai Institute of Technology in Leather and Environment. Visitors will be able to see a model tannery plant in real operation, using the sector's most advanced machines. The Abrameq Content Space
The CICB is also a supporter of the cycle of lectures that will take place at Fimec, the Abrameq Content Space (booth 2020 - Corridor B - Pavilion 2).
