It will soon reach its 100th edition, bringing together more than 1,100 exhibitors: the Lineapelle fair, in Milan, will gather the leather sector and other fashion materials segment between 20th and 22nd of September, with growing numbers, which have already approached the pre-pandemic all-time highs. Along with the event, there will be the Simac Tanning Tech fair. The Brazilian leather sector will participate in both activities, with stands at Lineapelle (five tanneries) and a stand of the Brazilian Leather project at Simac Tanning Tech – presenting the unprecedented launch of the Design na Pele by Vision Lab collection, with leathers from five Brazilian tanneries and a collection of shoes and bags, created by young fashion talents.
This participation has the support of Brazilian Leather, a project to encourage leather exports from Brazil carried out by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
This edition of Lineapelle already outnumbers the most recent one (February) by more than 200 exhibitors, showing the strong resumption of on-site commercial activities. With Simac Tanning Tech, the fair will be held following a series of other events linked to the same industry chain, creating a synergy of interests and contacts for all audiences in the same place - the Fiera Milano Rho Exhibition Center. The series starts on September 16th with HOMI Fashion&Jewels Exhibition, followed from the 18th with TheOneMilano, MICAM and Mipel.
Lineapelle's exhibitors come from almost 40 different nationalities. It is not by chance that this platform gathers such a significant and important audience of the global tanning industry: in Italy alone, the sector's annual turnover reaches around € 4.2 billion annually, with 70% of this amount sold for export – absolute world leadership. With the potential to attract audiences from all over Europe, Lineapelle, together with Simac Tanning Tech, is an unmissable event for anyone working in the leather chain.
