Première Vision Leather will soon gather in Paris a collection of the most refined hides and skins for the premium fashion segment. The event takes place between September 13th and 15th, having the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and eight Brazilian companies showcasing their articles with support from Brazilian Leather, project coordinated by CICB in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) for the promotion of leather exports.

The expectation is that the Brazilian participation at Première Vision Leather generates US$ 8 million in business. Among the companies that look forward to the event is Baby Leather, focused on the high end market and taking part in Première Vision for the first time. “A large share of our leather is currently manufactured and sold overseas as shoes, garments and bags. By taking part in the event, we’re seeking to increase our participation in the foreign market, as well as create a direct channel with the European market”, says company manager André Sehnem.

Besides the companies stands, Brazil will be at Première Vision Leather with its own space showcasing Preview do Couro – Summer 2018 (Leather Preview – Summer 2018). It is an exclusive collection of hides developed by Brazilian tanneries looking to anticipate fashion trends, and that was first presented in São Paulo during the most recent edition of Inspiramais. Preview do Couro has already proven to be an important business tool for Brazilian tanneries, as it highlights the industry’s technical and creative potential.
