Three Brazilian tanneries were carefully chosen to showcase their hides and skins of high aggregate value in the sector’s most sophisticated international trade fair: Première Vision Leather Paris.

Taking place between February 16th and 18th the event not only introduced the Brazilian tanning industry to a highly select list of global suppliers, as it also generated very positive business perspectives. “More than showcasing their products to designers, stylists and buyers from all major international fashion brands, companies received an important number of sample orders – which means the group has an expectation of selling around US$ 1 million throughout 2016”, says José Fernando Bello, president of CICB (the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry).

Best Brasil, Nova Kaeru and Curtume Rusan were the representatives from Brazil in the French exhibition. Their participation at Première Vision Leather Paris had the support from Brazilian Leather, project dedicated to promoting the sector in the international market, and coordinated by CICB in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Première Vision Leather Paris’ next edition takes place in September.
