A reference in Brazil for research on leathers and other materials used in collections of shoes, handbags, clothing, accessories, and furniture. Inspiramais - Hall of Design and Materials Innovation, is taking place this year on June 4th and 5th at the Pro Magno Events Center in São Paulo. The event is being held thanks to the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), Assintecal, Abit, Tex Brasil, By Brasil Components and Chemicals, and the Brazilian Leather project, a partnership between the CICB and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to encourage Brazilian leather exports.
In this edition, 17 tanneries will be present displaying bovine, fish, python, goat, and other types of leathers, all elaborated from extensive fashion research — one of the hallmarks of Inspiramais. According to Walter Rodrigues, director of the Design Nucleus and the event´s curator, "Inspiramais is like a radar, which through analysis of consumption, behavior, and world trends presents the inspirations that meet the desires of men, women, children, and adolescents living in a new world with different appeals and needs year after year".
On June 4th and 5th the public will be able to see materials that will soon be part of the newest fashion collections. The guiding theme this year is the word Zen, which refers to the search for balance, which has become a mantra for the world's creatives and consumers in the new millennium. The theme was chosen in view of a growing desire for responsible choices in consumption, time, and a personal connection, all of which are essential when relating to products. Special lectures and shows — such as the Leather Preview which showcases upcoming trends — will complete Inspiramais 2020_II.

About Brazilian Leather — As a leather sector internationalization project, Brazilian Leather is conducted by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry(CICB) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). There are numerous strategies for consolidating national leathers and hides in foreign markets — encouraging the participation of tanneries in the principle global trade fairs and business missions focused on closer relations between Brazilian suppliers and buyers from other countries are but two of them.
