One of the Brazilian greatest speakers is confirmed for the CICB Sustainability Forum. The navigator Amyr Klink - with more than 2 thousand lectures on topics related to maritime navigation to strategic business management - will be in Novo Hamburgo for the event, on 28th August, from 12pm at the Fenac Events Center, with organisation of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry http://www.cicb.org.br/forumdesustentabilidade/eng/.

Amyr will be lecturing on the topic Navigating in a Sustainable World. With recognition of the media and the most prestigious corporate resources in the country, Amyr considers most the intuition to the method in his speeches, resulting in remarkable quotes, such as: “A man needs to travel to places he doesn't know to break this arrogance that makes us believe in the world as we imagine it, and not as it is or as it could be; that make us professors and doctors of what we haven't seen, when we should be pupils and simply go and see”.

In addition to speaker, Amyr has five published books and is an economist and business administrator graduated by the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazilian most prestigious educational institution. He began his travels in 1984 when he performed the first South Atlantic solitary rowing crossing. In 1989, he began his solitary wintering in Antarctica and during the summer left the Antarctic Peninsula towards the Moffen Island, in the Arctic Pole, navigating 27,000 miles and returning to Brazil 642 days after his departure. In 1998, on board of the Paratii sailboat he sailed around Antarctica completing the first circumnavigation of the iced-covered continent.

Amyr’s participation in the 2º CICB Sustainability Forum highlights the multidisciplinary character of the activity, which seeks to engage on current issues with world-renowned authorities, proposing a new reflection paradigm for the leather industry.
