The Italian leather exhibition Lineapelle is soon to break a historical record. This year, the event will gather in Milan over 1,2 thousand exhibitors from all over the world, showcasing articles for the development of fashion and design collections. Lineapelle takes place between September 20th and 22nd. Brazil will be represented in the event by five companies, taking to Italy the high standard leather production Brazil is known for.

The Brazilian participation at Lineapelle has the support from Brazilian Leather, project dedicated to promoting the sector in the international market and coordinated by CICB (the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

The expectation is that the event generates around US$ 10 million for Brazil within the next 12 months. According to executive president of CICB, José Fernando Bello, Lineapelle is a real reference for the European fashion industry – one of the most celebrated platforms among footwear, accessories and clothes industry professionals. Besides the exhibition itself, Lineapelle will also host a series of conferences on fashion and an exclusive area dedicated to fashion trends, bringing the opportunity to select articles for the Fall/Winter 2017/2018 collections in the Northern hemisphere.

Director at Cortume Krumenauer, Joel Krummenauer says that being part of Lineapelle is to be connected to high quality products and its demanding market. “As one of the world’s most important leather events, Lineapelle naturally becomes a place where we should present our articles”, he says.
