Exports of hides and skins submitted by SECEX (Foreign Trade Secretariat), for the month of December 2013, showed a new monthly record. The total of US$ 240.1 million represents a growth of 20.8% over the same month last year, when US$ 186.7 million were exported. Regarding November, growth was 11.5%, while total exports stood at US$ 215.4 million.

The cumulative 2013 was also the highest on record, totaling US$ 2.511 billion. The increase over 2012 was 20.8%.
